Breathtaking young mare by the national champion in movement and national champion senior stallion, Gabeno, imported from Spain. “Gabi” will be bred to Urgel after obtaining approval from the Cria Caballar in 2005. Colonel Zapatero was very complimentary upon seeing photos of her in 2004 and commented that she possessed great beauty. Her dam, Cielita Elegante, was a multiple champion at the National and Regional levels in several disciplines, including ridden and driven open classes. At age seven she retired from competition and became a broodmare to pass on her show winning qualities to foals like Gabrelita and Filomena.

We have come to love Gabi, a mare who is truly Spanish, in appearance and disposition, exhibiting movement to die for. Gabi placed fifth in a best movement class of twelve horses (Corsicana 2004) including mature stallions. (Urgel placed first!) Gabi is a very solid, stout mare with good bone, and yet elegant. We look forward ot breeding Gabi to Urgel, as well as enjoying her as a riding mare. She is brave, bold, and has a great affection for people.
