This mare comes from the famous region in Spain called "La Mancha", known to be the birthplace of Don Quiote De La Mancha. It is near Toledo, an area of olive trees that seem to go on forever into the mountains. Imported to the U.S. as a five year old, Curiosa was in foal to Zingarro III, who carries the famous Cardenas brand. We chose Curiosa for our foundation mare herd for her old Carthusian lineage, powerful, correct movement of elevation and extension, her submissive temperament, and her correct conformation. She is a stout mare with good bone. She has produced offspring of only superior quality.
